St. Thomas Volleyball rallies in third set but falls to North Dakota State 3-0

Fargo, N.D. – The St. Thomas volleyball continued Summit League action on Thursday as it faced the North Dakota State Bison in Fargo. The Tommies fell in three sets by scores of 25-15, 25-12, but had a strong showing in the third set, but ultimately fell 25-22.
 
As a team, St. Thomas hit .130 in the match and recorded 32 kills. Defensively, the Tommies posted 39 digs and four blocks.
 
Freshman hitter Lauren Galvin led the St. Thomas offensive attack with a match-high 12 kills. Galvin added 11 digs and two assists in the contest.
 
Senior Carrie Rutledge posted a match-best 15 digs in the contest and one service ace. Senior setter Grace Anetipa assisted on 24 kills and recorded six digs.
 
The Tommies return to action on Saturday as they travel to Grand Forks, N.D., to face the University of North Dakota. The match is slated to begin at 1:00 p.m.
