Women's Hockey falls 3-2 to Auggies

Senior Bridget Wagner scored with 22 seconds left in regulation to snap a 2-2 tie and give visiting Augsburg a 3-2 win over St. Thomas in MIAC women's hockey play Friday night in Mendota Heights.
The Auggies, who never trailed, ran their win streak to nine games and secured a first-round bye for next week's five-team MIAC playoffs.
Sarah Moy and Estee Frantz scored the goals for St. Thomas (12-8-4 overall, 11-5-1 MIAC), which has four conference losses by one goal.
The Toms play at Augsburg Saturday (4 p.m.) to close the regular season. They're now locked in as the No. 4 seed and will play host to a game against the No. 5 seed next Thurdday night.
