Men's Hockey falls 3-2 in overtime

2/15/2020 12:00:00 AM | Men's Hockey

Tommie Men's Hockey lost 3-2 in overtime to Hamline on Saturday night in St. Paul for a split of their weekend series. It was the team's second overtime loss on the road in five days.

Luke Radetic and Alex Trapp scored the tying and go-ahead goals as St. Thomas led 2-1. But the Pipers tied the game with 4:48 to go in regulation, then scored the winner 3:00 into sudden death.

The Tommies (10-10-3 overall, 7-6-1 MIAC) are tied for fourth place in the league with Gustavus with two games left. Those teams have a two-point lead over St. Mary's and Bethel in the race for the final two playoff spots.

St. Thomas plays at Augsburg next Friday night and is home against the Auggies next Saturday night.
