Long weekend, Women's Hockey swept into third place

No. 5-ranked Gustavus blitzed the host Tommie Women's Hockey team with four goals in a 6:08 span of the second period in a 6-0 victory Saturday night in Mendota Heights.
The Tommies (9-4-2 overall, 8-2 MIAC) lost 1-0 and 6-0 in back-to-back nights to Gustavus and dropped into third place in the league race with eight games to play in the conference regular-season race.
Hailey Holland scored three goals and Katie McCoy was in net for her second consecutive shutout for the Gusties (13-2-1, 9-0-1).
The Toms were outshot 36-20 on Saturday.
They play St. Catherine in two games, next Friday and Saturday.
