Late goal leads to tie for Men's Hockey vs. ranked Superior

Johnny Panvica's second goal of the game, an extra-attacker score with 50 seconds left in regulation time, tied the game and led to a 3-3 overtime tie for St. Thomas against No. 11-ranked UW-Superior in non-conference play Sunday in Mendota Heights.
The Tommies (8-6-2) led 1-0 and 2-1 before allowing tying and go-ahead Superior goals late in period two and early in period three.
Spencer Zwiener and Panvica scored the first two St. Thomas goals, then Zwiener assisted Panvica on the game-tying goal. Cam Burggrabe had 35 saves.
The Yellowjackets (12-2-3) ran their unbeaten streak to nine games (6-0-3).
St. Thomas is home to face Gustavus next Friday.
