Volleyball wins twice Friday at Auggie tourney

St. Thomas Volleyball won a pair of 3-0 decisions on Friday in day one of the Augsburg tournament in Minneapolis to move to 6-0 on the season.
The Tommies topped U Mass-Boston, 25-15, 25-18, 25-14, and defeated UW-La Crosse, 25-19, 25-20, 25-20.
On Saturday, the Toms play Dubuque and No. 12-ranked UW-Whitewater.
In the La Crosse win, Grace Anetipa had 31 assists; Ellie Meyer had 13 digs; Fran Egan had 11 kills; Hannah Braun had eight kills; and Madie Kroehler had 10 digs.
In the Dubuque victory, Anetipa had 41 assists and nine digs; Egan and Braun each had 13 kills; Meyer had 15 digs; and Kroehler had 11 digs, 11 kills and two aces.
