Despite having a 10-man contingent gone at the Drake Relays, St. Thomas had 28 top-six places Thursday night at the Macalester Bolstroff Twilight meet in St. Paul.
Fourteen teams were represented, and the Toms scored 165.5 points to top runner-up St. John's by 9.5 points.
St. Thomas had one victory -- Adam Vikkers in the long jump (21-10) - and also had six second-places.
Soph Jake Kelly had a season-best 6-6 in the high jump and took second.
Other runners-up included David Danhauer in the shot put; Aidan Ritzenthaler in the pole vault; Josh Prater in the long jump; Jonah Schoenfelder in the 110 hurdles; and Austin Coates in the 400 hurdles.
Parker Feuerborn had a season-best in the shot put (50-6 1-4) and moved into the top 35 nationally.
Freshman Mac Karrick (15:20) and George McGivern (15:22) took 3-4 in the 5,000 with top-seven MIAC times and career outdoor bests.
A small group will compete at Friday's Gustavus meet, along with the 10 athletes in Des Moines for the Friday-Saturday Drake Relays. Another group will compete next Wednesday May 1 at the U of Gopher Twilight meet.
