Women's Hockey ties Blugolds; unbeaten streak hts eight

In a showdown of one-loss teams, sophomore Eryn Cooley stopped 19 of 20 shots while playing all 65:00 in goal and No. 10-ranked Tommie Women's Hockey skated to a 1-1 overtime tie with UW-Eau Claire in Friday non-conference play in Lake Forest, Ill.
Senior Isabel Bianchi scored midway through the second period for a 1-0 lead, but the Blugolds (7-1-1) tied the game moments later.
Freshmen Emma Larson and Maija Almich recorded assists.
St. Thomas (5-1-3) plays the host Foresters on Saturday (3:30 p.m.) to close the trip.
