Volleyball moves closer to MIAC title share

No. 22-ranked Tommie Volleyball hit .376 and recorded six aces in Friday night's three-set home victory over Macalester. The Toms, who took the match 25-11, 25-12, 25-7, have won 13 of their last 14 contests,

St. Thomas (24-4 overall, 8-0 MIAC) plays Saturday at Hamline (3 p.m.) and with a victory can lock up a share of the MIAC regular-season championship. The Purple hold a two-game lead on Augsburg and St. Ben's with eight days left in the conference regular season.

Madie Kroehler had 12 kills and 11 digs; Selena Levendoski had nine kills, hit .500 and added two blocks; Hannah Braun had eight kills and hit .800; Grace Anetipa had 33 assists and eight digs; Ellie Meyer had 13 digs; and Meghan Mazzola chipped in three aces.
