Tanner Barnes' third-period goal 6:00 in made things interesting, but No. 15-ranked Tommie Men's Hockey fell 2-1 at No. 10-ranked UW-Eau Claire Friday night in a non-conference battle of unbeatens.
The Blugolds (6-0) were outshot 28-20 but used two second-period goals to build a cushion.
St. Thomas (3-1-1) went 0-for-6 on the power play. The Toms play Saturday at No. 1-ranked UW-Stevens Point.
