Sun continues to shine on Women's Soccer

Senior All-America Mallory DeBoom had a five-point day to lead No. 13-ranked St. Thomas Women's Soccer to a 4-1 victory over visiting Concordia-Moorhead in conference play Wednesday afternoon at South Field.
The Tommies (14-1 overall, 8-0 MIAC) have won 14 in a row since an Aug. 31 loss to open the season. They extended their conference lead to five points with three games remaining. UST had a 11-2 advantage in shots on goal and a 9-2 edge in corner kicks.
DeBoom scored UST's first and fourth goals and assisted on the third goal. She now has 99 career points, and has recorded 11 of her 39 goals this fall.
Kristen Epperly's first-half goal put the Toms ahead 2-0.
Kalli Baarstad chipped in a shot over the Tommie goalie in the 50th minute to pull the Cobbers within 2-1. But Liz Luotto and DeBoom scored in the 54th and 64th minutes to extend the UST lead.
St. Thomas has outscored opponents 21-2 in the second half and overtime sessions this season.
UST plays Saturday at St. Olaf.
