Softball sweeps Stout; Mac next on Tuesday

Tommie Softball collected 24 hits and 15 runs in Monday's 7-2, 8-0 non-conference road sweep at UW-Stout in Menomonie, Wis. The second game was halted after six innings.
Eleven different Tommies had a hit on the day.
Sammy Hogan threw a five-hit shutout in game two with three strikeouts and three walks. She also had two hits at the plate. Jessica Eppenberger allowed two runs and six hits in game one to get the victory.
Jenna Beeso and Brenna Walek each had two hits and two RBI in game one, and Megan Bush did it in game two.
The Toms (24-6) resume conference play Tuesday with a 4:30 p.m. twinbill at Macalester. UST is tied for second at 9-3 behind 12-2 St. Ben's.
