St. Thomas Volleyball hit .281 and had nine aces as it zipped to a 3-0 home victory over Concordia-Moorhead in Wednesday night conference play at Schoenecker Arena. UST win 25-12, 25-17, 25-12.
The Tommies (20-7 overall, 8-2 MIAC) secured the No. 3 seed for the six-team MIAC playoffs. They will play a Tuesday first-round match at home against the No. 6 seed. St. Thomas finishes the regular season Saturday at Macalester (3 p.m.).
Whitney Lloyd had 14 kills and hit .583; Ellie Etzel added 11 kills and three blocks and hit .333; Ellie Meyer had 24 digs and three aces; Katharine Mallak had 30 assists and nine digs; Madie Kroehler had 11 digs and three aces; Brooke Reichart had eight kills and hit .318; and Grace Duffy chipped in five blocks.
Coach Thanh Pham's team has won seven of its last eight matches and 16 of its last 19.
