Volleyball defeats Macalester in straight sets

St. Thomas Volleyball moved to 21-7 on the season with a 3-0 win at Macalester on Saturday afternoon. UST won 25-19, 25-20, 25-16 in its final regular-season match.
Whitney Lloyd had 10 kills and hit .500 while Audrey Erickson and Taylor Lewis each added 7 kills. Katharine Mallak had 24 assists and Ellie Meyer finished the match with 13 digs. St. Thomas combined for eight service errors with three of them coming from Madie Kroehler.
The Tommies finished the season with a 9-2 conference record and are the No. 3 seed for this week's MIAC playoffs. They will host Concordia-Moorhead on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in Schoenecker Arena.
