NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The St. Thomas softball team picked up a pair of wins over St. Olaf College in an MIAC doubleheader on Thursday afternoon at Mabel Shirley Field. After a scoreless first two innings, the Tommies went on to score at least one run in each of the final four innings, which was capped off with a six-run top of the sixth.
Each team registered one hit through the first two innings before UST racked up three runs on four hits in the top of the third. Back-to-back RBI doubles from Megan Dupuis and Bianca Peterson brought around the first two St. Thomas runs. Katie Jo Delisle finished off the inning with an RBI single to put her team out front 3-0.
Micaela Trainor tripled to lead off the top of the fourth and later stole home to extend the St. Thomas lead to 4-0 before Jessica Bently led off with a solo home run for St. Olaf in the bottom of the inning to bring the score to 4-1.

Game 2 – St. Thomas 4, St. Olaf 1
