St. Kate's walk home off run forces softball split

ST. PAUL – The St. Thomas softball team split an MIAC doubleheader with St. Catherine University on Saturday afternoon on the St. Kate's campus.
The Tommies held a 6-3 lead headed in to the seventh inning in game one, but a walk off home run for St. Kate's finished an 8-6 loss. UST came back to score a 9-1 win in the second game, which brought St. Thomas' record to 28-8 overall and 12-6 in the MIAC, while St. Catherine is now 22-10 overall and 9-7 in league play.
