Men's Tennis falls in spring opener

St. Thomas men's tennis opened its spring rip to Florida on Monday with a 6-1 loss to Division II Eckerd. Tom Runde pulled out a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles for UST.

The Toms also lost three close doubles matches, including at No. 1 where a nationally-ranked Eckerd duo edged Brady Radermacher and Luke Elifson, 9-7.

UST competes Tuesday against Warner Southern.
