Senior Maggie Weiers had 12 points and 11 rebounds and Alyssa Favilla scored a game-high 14 points as No. 5-ranked St. Thomas scored a 69-30 road win Wednesday night at Macalester.

The Tommies (12-0 overall, 5-0 MIAC) broke to a 40-15 halftime lead.

Weiers now has 720 rebounds in 103 career games. She moved past Jessica Katch into third place on the St. Thomas career list and needs five to pass Kirsten Vipond.

UST posted a 33-6 advantage in bench scoring and outrebounded the Scots 48-25.

Anna Smith added nine points and six boards, and Kaitlin Langer and Jenna Dockter each scored seven points.

The Toms' 12-0 season start ties for the second best in school history, surpassed only by the 1991-92 team that began 27-0.

The Tommies are home Saturday to face Concordia-Moorhead (1 p.m.).
