Road win streak hits 12, W. Hoops now 17-0

Senior forward Anna Smith sank 3-of-3 from 3-point range and closed with 17 points as No. 4-ranked St. Thomas cruised past host St. Benedict, 80-57, in Saturday's MIAC women's basketball play in St. Joseph.
The Tommies (17-0 overall, 10-0 MIAC) raced to a 40-19 halftime lead en route to their 12th consecutive road victory.
The visitors shot 51 percent from the field, made seven treys, had a 41-33 rebounding edge, and committed a modest 12 turnovers.
Mattie Lueck had 17 points, nine boards, four blocks and four assists for the Blazers (8-9, 5-5).
UST's Jenna Dockter had 16 points, seven rebounds, five asssists and three steals, and Maggie Weiers posted her 16th career double double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
The Toms, 9-0 over the last 20 days, play at second-place Gustavus on Wednesday night.
