Henderson sharp in W. Tennis loss

Sophomore Shelby Henderson won at first singles and second doubles, but the Tommie women's tennis team lost 6-3 to NAIA power Cardinal Stritch (Wis.) in Saturday play at Anderson Fieldhouse.
Cardinal Stritch was coming off a victory over Division I UW-Green Bay.
Henderson surprised highly-regarded Lexi Loomis at first singles, 6-1, 6-3. Teammate Bridget Noack won a third-set tie-breaker at third singles. Henderson and Lauren Keller won 8-2 at second doubles.
The Tommies (1-1) play St. Ben's on Sunday at 3:30 p.m., at the U of M Baseline courts.
