Singles wins fuel W. Tennis victory

St. Thomas women's tennis won five singles matches to take a 6-3 win over St. Ben's in their conference opener Sunday. The dual meet was played at the U of M Baseline courts.
Kara Lefsrud and Bridget Noack won in doubles and singles to lead the Tommie victory. Shelby Henderson pulled out a 6-3, 6-4 win at first singles. Freshman Paige Becher won a three-set tie-breaker at fourth singles, and Rachel Wright also triumphed at No. 6 singles.
The Tommies (2-1 overall, 1-0 MIAC) play at St. Cloud State next Friday.
