Volleyball pushes MIAC win streak to 15

No. 10-ranked St. Thomas Volleyball hit .321 and pulled away for a 3-0 sweep of St. Olaf in Saturday conference play at Schoenecker Arena. The first-place Tommies won 25-13, 25-21, 25-19.
St. Thomas (19-5 overall, 7-0 MIAC) extended its lead atop the conference standings to one game with four matches to go in the regular season. The Toms have won 15 in a row vs. MIAC opponents since October 2013, and 15 of their last 16 matches this season.
Seniors Jill Greenfield, Kely Foley and Sara Atkinson combined to hit .464 with 31 kills to lead the victory.
Greenfield has 12 kills and 13 digs; Foley had 12 kills; Atkinson had seven kills and hit .700; Whitney Lloyd added nine kills; Whitney Abrahamson had 12 digs; Maddie Reese had 23 assists; and Kayla Walton had 20 assists.
The Toms are home Wednesday to face No. 24-ranked Augsburg.
