Foley on fire, Volleyball tops two ranked foes

Tommie Volleyball engineered a stirring comeback road win Friday night to cap off its third victory over a nationally-ranked team in three days.
No. 12-ranked UST rebounded from a 2-0 games deficit to top No. 9-ranked Elmhurst, 3-2, at Friday's Elmhurst Invite. The Toms (17-4) won 15-25, 22-25, 25-20, 25-23, 15-11 to push their season match win streak to 13.
Senior All-America Kelly Foley had a monster game against Elmhurst with 24 kills, one error and a .741 attack percentage to go with four blocks. Jill Greenfield added 14 kills and 13 digs; Taylor Lewis had 10 kills and 11 digs; Maddie Reese had 30 assists and 12 digs; Whitney Lloyd had 10 kills; Whitney Abrahamson had 19 digs; and Kayla Walton had 23 assists.
In Friday's first match, Greenfield had 15 kills, 12 digs and two aces to lead a 3-0 win over No. 6-ranked Juniata (18-3). UST won 25-19, 25-22, 25-19.
Foley added 12 kills; Abrahamson added 25 digs; Lewis had eight kills and eight digs; Walton had 16 assists; and Reese had 15 assists.
UST plays No. 8-ranked Washington (Mo.) Saturday at noon.
