Win streak ends at 13 for UST Volleyball

No. 8-ranked Washington (Mo.) pulled out a 3-0 win over No. 12-ranked St. Thomas in Saturday volleyball play on a neutral court in Elmhurst, Ill. The Bears won 25-19, 25-23, 25-21.
St. Thomas (17-5) had beaten three other ranked teams this week but saw its 13-match season win streak end. UST hit only .079.
Jill Greenfield had her fourth double-double of the week as she had 12 kills, 18 digs and three aces. Kelly Foley had nine kills and three blocks; Whitney Abrahamson had 16 digs; and Maddie Reese had 12 assists and seven digs.
Foley, who had 24 kills in Friday's 3-2 comeback win over No. 9-ranked Elmhurst, was named to the Elmhurst All-Tournament Team.
