St. Thomas and Viterbo tied 1-1 in men's soccer play Wednesday in LaCrosse, Wis.
The V-Hawks (1-6-1) broke a 0-0 tie with a goal in the 82nd minute. UST (4-2-2) answered just 90 seconds later as Macalister Enderson scored unassisted on a free kick to tie the match. Mitchell Wolff played all 110 minutes in goal and made four saves.
Viterbo had a 9-3 advantage in corner kicks. The shots were even in regulation but the hosts had a 7-1 edge in overtime.
"We left some details unkept and didn't produce a game winner," said UST coach Jon Lowery. "However, we did well to defend some difficult restarts and got to get minutes off some tired legs after playing playing four games in eight days with three of those on the road. Our focus is keenly set for Saturday and we look forward to the opportunity. We've learned some valuable lessons over the past week and they will serve us well going forward."
The Tommies will play their fifth game in 11 days as they return home Saturday to face Augsburg (1 p.m.).
