Volleyball 12-1 after unbeaten run at UWRF

The No. 8-ranked Tommie volleyball team rolled to two Saturday victories, including 3-0 defeats of UW-Stevens Point and Waldorf, to complete a 4-0 run at the UW-River Falls tournament.
UST topped Waldorf 25-13, 25-8, 25-23 and beat Point 25-18, 25-22 and 25-20
St. Thomas (12-1) went 12-1 in sets in the four weekend matches. Paige Brimeyer and Kelly Foley made the eight-player all-tournament team.

Friday story
The No. 8-ranked Tommie volleyball team rolled to two Friday victories, including a 3-0 defeat of No. 10-rated UW-Whitewater, in play at the UW-River Falls tournament.
St. Thomas topped UW-River Falls, 25-21, 25-20, 23-25, 25-14, then defeated Whitewater, 25-17, 25-23, 25-20. River Falls came in with an 8-1 record, while Whitewater was 8-2.
In the Whitewater victory, Jill Greenfield had 13 kills and 11 digs and Kelly Foley added 12 kills and three blocks. Nicole Potts had 11 digs and six kills. UST hit .372.
In the River Falls win, Foley had 19 kills and three blocks and Paige Brimeyer added 14 kills. Kaiti Wachter recorded 20 digs. The Toms hit .332.
In Saturday matches, St. Thomas plays Waldorf (10 a.m.) and UW-Stevens Point (2 p.m.).
