Softball ranked 25th nationally by NFCA

St. Thomas (15-5) is ranked No. 25 in this week's Division III softball rankings by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).
Linfield, Emory, Coe Eastern Connecticut and Luther rank 1-2-3-4-5.
Last season, only NCAA champ Linfield had more wins among Division III teams than the Tommies (42-6). St. Thomas made the NCAA playoffs for the 14th time in the last 15 seasons, finished as regional tourney runner-up, and posted the program's eighth consecutive 40-win season.
St. Thomas went 9-3 last week on spring break in Clermont, Fla. The Tommies opened conference play Wednesday with a 18-1, 4-0 sweep of Hamline.
