Kelsey Barnier contributed a goal and assist as the host Tommies (10-6-2 overall, 7-4-12 MIAC) won their sixth in a row with a 3-1 win over Bethel (8-9-2, 6-6) in Saturday night's MIAC women's hockey game in Mendota Heights.
The Tommies, who share second place in the MIAC, are 8-1 since December.
UST sophomore goalie Alise Riedel stopped 69 of 70 shots on the 3-0, 3-1 weekend sweep. St. Thomas has allowed just nine goals in its last 11 games.
Maria Bothwell's goal midway through period two put the Toms ahead to stay. Jenny Saxon's unassisted goal 5:50 into the final period created a two-goal cushion.
Jess Newstrom stopped 41 of 44 shots for BU. Biz Huss scored a power-play goal 2:38 into the game for a 1-0 Bethel lead.
The Toms return to home ice next Friday to play St. Catherine.
