Kaylee Keys scored two goals and Alise Riedel stopped 21 of 22 shots as the host Tommies (6-6-2 overall, 3-4-1 MIAC) moved back to .500 on the season as they completed a weekend sweep of St. Mary's with Sunday's 3-1 women's hockey victory in MIAC action in Mendota Heights.
An empty-net score by Kelsey Barnier with 48 seconds to go secured the win for UST, which never trailed.
Keys had a short-handed breakaway goal for a 1-0 lead. Erin Stenseth tied the game for SMU 6:04 into the final period, but 3:00 later Keys put St. Thomas back ahead 2-1 with a goal, her third of the weekend. Sge also assisted on the overtime goal on Saturday.
