Junior guard Ali Johnson scored 16 points, draining 4-of-8 from three-point range, and Rachel Booth added 13 points, five rebounds and four assists as the visiting Tommies (7-2 overall, 6-0 MIAC) pulled away for a 69-38 win over the host Carleton Knights (3-6, 2-5) in Wednesday night's women's basketball game in Northfield.
St. Thomas won for the sixth straight time by unleashing a 34-2 run spanning halftime. The Toms limited Carleton to 13 second-half points and have allowed just 46 points a game in their 6-0 conference start.
Carleton trailed just 24-23 with 4:28 left in the first half on an Ally Weaver trey but UST turned on the offense and scored its eighth straight win on the road over conference foes, dating back to last year.
St. Thomas had a 52-30 advantage in rebounds and a 26-6 margin in bench points.
The Toms are home Saturday to face Gustavus in a 1 p.m. game.
