Maggie Weiers and Ali Johnson each scored 12 points as the host Tommies (13-5 overall, 12-3 MIAC) rolled to a 24-point win over the Royals (8-9, 5-8) in Saturday night's MIAC women's basketball game at UST's Schoenecker Arena.

The Tommies are alone in second place in the MIAC, one game behind St. Ben's.

UST, which raced to a 23-5 lead, shot 47% from the floor and helped limit BU to 30% shooting.

Rachel Booth had 11 points, Sarah Smith added 10 points, six rebounds and four assists, and Taylor Young had eight points, four rebounds, four steals and four assists.

Taylor Sheley had 12 points to lead BU, which made 19-of-23 free throws.

St. Thomas plays Monday night at St. Olaf.
