Rob Johnson scored two goals and Tyrone Simcoe stopped 28 of 29 shots as the visiting Tomies edged No. 9-ranked and previously unbeaten Milwaukee School of Engineering, 2-1, in Friday's non-confermen's hockey play in Milwaukee.
The teams play again Saturday at 2 p.m.
The Toms (8-4) trailed for just 90 seconds before John's first goal tied the game late in period one. His go-ahead goal came late in period two.
