Women's Soccer gets 2-0 win at Platteville

The St. Thomas women's soccer team scored twice in a 4:00 span of the second half to post a 2-0 victory over UW-Platteville in non-conference women's soccer play Sunday in Platteville, Wis.
Freshman keeper Callan Faulkner had four saves and posted her second shutout win in as many college matches for the Tommies (3-2).
Regina Horak, who missed 2008 with an injury, scored her first goal since September 2007. The unassisted goal came from a rebound shot in front of the net in the 66th minute.
Sophomore Whitney Moran scored her first college goal just 3:34 later on a header shot, assisted by freshman Brittany Cochlin.
The Toms had a 12-4 advantage in shots on goal and a 6-0 margin in corner kicks.
St. Thomas starts its conference season Wednesday at home against St. Catherine (4 p.m.).
