Men's Tennis gets 8-1 wins over Saints, Cobbers

The St. Thomas men's tennis team moved to 2-0 on the MIAC season and 3-0 overall with two weekend wins. The Tommies topped St. Scholastica Saturday at home, 8-1, and won Sunday at Concordia-Moorhead, 8-1.

Dan Cooper, Tyler Rice and Andy Michels each went 4-0 on the weekend in singles and doubles.

On Sunday, Cooper survived a third-set marathon at fifth singles and a close match at third doubles.

At UST's Coughlan Fieldhouse on Saturday, the Tommies won a close tie breaker at third doubles with Cooper and Phil Paradise.

The Toms play next Friday at Macalester.
