Women's Soccer tops Point; 7th win in row

Sophomore Regina Horak scored an unassisted goal in the 57th minute to lift the host Tommie women's soccer team (9-2) to a 1-0 win over UW-Stevens Point (6-3) in non-conference play Saturday at UST's South Field.
The Tommies have outscored opponents 17-2 in their current seven-game winning streak. Horak now has seven goals in 17 career games, including four this season.
Coach Sheila McGill's team beat the Pointers in a close game for the second year in a row. UST is now 4-0 this season against Wisconsin teams Stevens Point, Platteville, Eau Claire and Stout.
Allie Byron was in goal for UST's shutout and had four saves over 90:00. Point had a 5-3 edge in corner kicks, but UST had a 7-4 advantage in shots on goal.
The Tommies play at home next Saturday against St. Olaf (11 a.m.).
