Macalester scored 1:19 into overtime to edge St. Thomas 2-1 in Saturday night's MIAC men's soccer game at the Scots' field.
The Toms trailed 1-0 at halftime but scored a second-half goal by Elliot Amundson in the 75th minute to knot the score.
The Toms shot wide on the first possession of overtime, then Macalester went the length of the field and used a flick pass to set up a winning shot from Jake Roche. His ball sailed into the top left corner past diving UST goalie Carlos Castelan.
St. Thomas has played four overtime games in the conference, going 2-2 in the four, including three in the last 11 days.
The loss give Carleton the outright MIAC championship. St. Thomas, still battling for second place, plays Tuesday at home against Concordia-Moorhead and is home next Saturday to face St. Mary's.
