Volleyball wins in four sets at Carleton

Senior All-American Katie McCaffrey had 20 kills, four blocks and hit .427 to lead No. 7-ranked St. Thomas to a four-
set MIAC volleyball victory Saturday at Carleton.
The Tommies (14-1 overall, 3-0 MIAC) ran their MIAC win streak to 18 and their season win streak to 13 as they prevailed 25-21, 22-25, 25-16, 25-17. UST hit .217 to the Knights' .136 clip and knocked Carleton (5-7, 2-1) from the MIAC unbeaten ranks.
Emily Foster had 52 assists, nine kills and seven digs, and Kyley Crotty added 13 kills and 15 digs for the Tommies. Katie Kremer had 17 digs and two service aces; Alesha Nelson added 11 kills; and Carlie Waibel added eight kills and nine digs.
The Tommies are home for three matches next week -- Tuesday vs. UW-Eau Claire; Friday vs. Gustavus; and Saturday vs. St. Catherine.
