Host Concordia outscored No. 16-ranked St. Thomas 33-5 in free throws in Wednesday's 67-57 victory over the Toms in MIAC men's basketball play in Moorhead. UST had its 10-game win streak halted as the Cobbers made their last 22 points at the foul line.
Joe Scott had 11 points to lead the Toms, who were called for 33 fouls to 14 for Concordia. UST trailed by one point at halftime but a 24-9 run midway through the second half but the Cobs ahead to stay.
St. Thomas (20-4 overall, 16-3 MIAC) closes its regular season Saturday night at St. John's.
