The St. Thomas women's basketball team stayed one game behind first-place St. Benedict with Saturday's 70-67 comeback win win at St. Catherine. The Toms fell behind 53-41 with 16:00 to play but used a 29-14 game-closing run to get the victory.
Jessica Katch has 23 points and 11 rebounds, and Carrie Embree had 18 points and seven rebounds for the Tommies (17-6 overall, 16-4 MIAC).
The Toms, who play at Concordia-Moorhead on Wednesday and are home to face St. Ben's next Saturday, can take at least a share of the MIAC title and a playoff first-round bye with two wins.
