Women's Hockey falls 4-2 to No. 4 Gusties

No. 4-ranked Gustavus (15-1 overall, 10-0 MIAC) got goals from four different players and ran its winning streak to 15 with Saturday's 4-2 win over No. 10-ranked St. Thomas (13-4, 7-3) in MIAC women's hockey play Saturday night in Mendota Heights.
Gustavus' Claire Opsahl scored an unassisted goal with 19 seconds left to ice the win and complete the sweep. Mari Gunderson scored nine seconds into the match for a Gustie 1-0 lead, and Jenny Pusch skated the length of the ice and scored a key goal with only 11 seconds left in period two for a 3-1 lead.
Rachel Zilles and Alicia Behr scored for the Tommies, the latter a power-play goal that pulled UST within 3-2 with 1:58 to play. Ashley Reinhardt assisted on the power-play goal and now has 99 career points.
Gustavus outshot UST 22-18 after outshooting the Toms 22-11 in Friday's 1-0 victory.
