Senior Ashley Reinhardt's goal at 3:00 of the 5:00 sudden-death overtime lifted the visiting Tommies (11-2) past No. 10-ranked UW-River Falls 4-3 in non-conference women's hockey play Wednesday night.
The Falcons (9-5) led 2-0 after two periods, but UST scored three unanswered goals to take the lead. Tommie freshmen Kristen Grossman scored to make it 2-1. Freshman Kelley Fallen posted the tying and go-ahead tallies, the latter at 16:01. But River Falls tied the game 25 seconds later, leading to overtime.
Kara Ledel had three assists and Jackie Carroll had two for the Tommies.
Lauren Bradel stopped 26 of 29 shots for UST, which has won eight of its last nine games. The Toms resume MIAC play with a weekend series vs. St. Benedict -- Friday on the road at St. Cloud's Municipal rink (7:30 p.m.) and Saturday night on home ice in Mendota Heights (7 p.m.).
