Men's Hockey wins again, 6-1 on road

Nick Pernula scored two goals and an assist and the visiting Tommies outscored Augsburg 4-0 in the final period to take a 6-1 victory Friday night in MIAC men's hockey play in Minneapolis.
UST led just 1-0 until late in the second period and led only 2-1 with 12:00 remaining. But the Toms scored four goals in a 5:50 stretch to blow open the game. Alex Coles, Andrew Panchenko, Sean Bryant and Alex Arnason joined Pernula with goals for UST.
The No. 7-ranked Tommies (8-1-1 overall, 3-0 MIAC) improved to 5-0 on the road this season. Overall, they are 6-0-1 in their last seven games.
Sophomore Tyler Chestnut stopped 19 of 20 shots for the win in goal. He's allowed just two goals in his last three games.
The teams play again Saturday night on home ive in Mendota Heights (7 p.m.).
