Katch leads Women's Hoops to win

Junior Jessica Katch had 25 points and eight rebounds to lead the visiting Tommies to a 67-58 victory over Hamline in Monday night's MIAC women's basketball game on the Pipers' floor.
The Tommies (3-1 overall, 2-0 MIAC) won their third in a row. They used a 13-0 run to forge a 13-2 lead and never trailed again.
Anna Swanson scored 14 points off the bench for UST. Carrie Embree added seven points, 10 rebounds and four steals. UST shot only 28% from the field but converted 21-of-25 at the foul line and helped pressure HU into 31 turnovers.
The Tommies play Wednesday vs. Macalester (5:45 p.m. at St. Catherine) and Saturday at St. Olaf (1 p.m.).
