Men's Hoops wins by 12 at UW-River Falls

Visiting St. Thomas shot 63% from the field and received 29 bench points in Tuesday's 79-67 men's basketball victory at UW-River Falls.
Soph David Baker scored 14 points and freshman Tyler Nicolai chipped in 12 points for the Tommies (2-1). Al McCoy added 10 points off the bench. B.J. Viau scored 11 points and Lonnie Robinson added nine points.
The Toms closed the first half with a 10-0 run to forge a 35-35 halftime tie. They used a 12-5 run to build a 47-40 lead and the Falcons ever got closer than three the rest of the game.
St. Thomas plays Saturday at No. 1-ranked Division II power Winona State (2 p.m.).
