Volleyball wins 3-0, secures MIAC title share

The 10th-ranked St. Thomas volleyball team secured at least a share of the MIAC championship on Saturday. The Tommies won at Hamline in three games to move to 9-0 in the conference, while second-place Concordia and St. Benedict dropped to 7-2 with home losses today.

UST topped the Pipers 30-22, 30-26, 30-24 and improved to 22-4 overall. Katie McCaffrey had 12 kills and hit .346; Kristin Storrs had 15 kills; DeJurnett Prioleau had 12 kills; Emily Foster had 44 assists; Aly McConnell has 24 digs and Katie Kremer had 15 digs.

The Tommies host St. Ben's Tuesday (7 p.m.) with a chance to win the outright MIAC crown for the fourth time in six seasons.
