The St. Thomas men's soccer team stayed unbeaten in the MIAC and ran its unbeaten streak to seven with Wednesday night's 1-1 overtime tie at Macalester.
The Toms (10-3-3 overall, 5-0-3 MIAC) moved closer to securing a conference playoff berth with two games left in the regular season.
The Tommies, who are 5-0-2 in their last seven games, are now 3-0-1 against Macalester since 2004.
UST scored an "own goal" midway through the first half after a corner kick was misplayed by the Scots. The Tommies still led 1-0 when it lost a player to a red card in the 71st minute. In the 75th minute, Macalester tied the game with a goal. UST played one man down for 40 minutes in all counting overtime, and had a 9-3 edge in shots on goal.
UST is home next Tuesday to face St. Mary's, and closes the regular season Oct. 27 at home vs. Gustavus.
