Rosefelt leads OT victory

Senior center Isaac Rosefelt had 30 points and 11 rebounds to lead the No. 5-ranked St. Thomas men's basketball team to a 91-86, two-overtime win over host Bethel Saturday in Arden Hills.
The Tommies (10-1 overall, 6-0) remained in a first-place tie atop the conference standings with St. John's, a 16-point home winner over St. Olaf. The Toms made 5-of-6 free throws in the last 36 seconds of the second overtime to outlast the Royals (6-4, 1-4).
Senior guard Bryan Schnettler had 18 points and nine rebounds and surpassed 1,000 points in his 65th game at St. Thomas.
Senior forward Mike Keating played all 50 minutes and had 23 points, nine rebounds, five assists and three steals. Senior guard Andrew Dwyer had eight assists, six points and five steals.
UST, which shot 47% from the field, trailed by three at halftime and later rallied from an eight-point deficit. Bethel made the tying shot late in regulation and a tying shot late in the first overtime.
The Toms have three games next week -- Monday at home vs. Augsburg (5:45 p.m.); Wednesday at home vs. Gustavus (5:45 p.m.); and Saturday at Concordia-Moorhead (1 p.m.).
