Foresters top Tommies

The No. 10-ranked St. Thomas women's hockey team (1-2) lost 4-2 Friday night at Lake Forest (Ill.). The teams play again Saturday night at Lake Forest.

Freshman Katie Carrico gave the Toms a 1-0 lead. Freshman Jill Kobow tied the score on a penalty shot in the third period. But the Foresters (2-0-1) scored two goals in a 5:06 span early in the last period.

UST freshman goalie Lauren Bradel stopped 16 of 20 shots in her collegiate debut.
