Tough weekend trip for Toms

The St. Thomas women's hockey team dropped to 1-3 on the season with Saturday's 5-3 loss at Lake Forest.

Freshmen Kristine Beese and Jamie Hollway scored 33 seconds apart in the second period to tie the score 3-3. But the Foresters (4-0-1) scored two more to complete the weekend sweep.

Senior Katie Jetland stopped 26 of 31 shots in goal for the Tommies. Jackie Carroll scored the Toms' first goal.

St. Thomas opens MIAC play Friday at home vs. St. Olaf.
