Women's Hockey gets 5-0 win over Amherst

MINNEAPOLIS--Tomery Stolz scored two goals and three assists
and Tiffany Petermeier added two goals and one assist as the St. Thomas women's hockey team scored a 5-0 victory over Amherst Wednesday night in non-conference play at Parade Ice Garden. The Tommies (7-1-1), ranked eighth nationally by U.S. College Hockey Online, outshot the Lord Jeffs 60-4. Heidi Alexander stopped 55 shots in goal for Amherst. Amherst (0-5-3) finishes its Minnesota trip Friday when it plays at Ausgburg. St. Thomas resumes conference play with a weekend series vs. St. Olaf -- Saturday at 3 p.m. in Northfield, and Sunday at 2 p.m. at Parade Ice Garden. Amherst-------0-/0-/0-/0St. Thomas---3-/1-/1-/5
